The QIAquant 96 2plex (115 V) instrument is a comprehensive system designed to deliver high-performance results for quantitative PCR applications such as genotyping, pathogen detection, and expression analyses. The QIAquant device combines high-quality thermal elements with fast heating and cooling ramping rates and a multi-channel detection system to enable shorter cycling times, as low as 30 minutes for 40 cycles.

The QIAquant 96 2plex (115 V) instrument has several features that make it stand out:

  • It has a fast cycling protocol, allowing for shorter cycling times,
  • It can detect up to 5 different targets simultaneously, which makes it possible to perform multiplex detection,
  • The temperature ramping rates can be up to 8°C/s, and temperature uniformity across the sample block can be as low as ±0.15°C,
  • It has a gradient function for assay optimization.

The QIAquant instrument is available in three configurations, the QIAquant 96 2plex, QIAquant 96 5plex, and QIAquant 384 5plex, each with different sample volumes, thermal blocks, and maximum heating and cooling rates.

The QIAquant instruments use a patented Fiber-Optic Shuttle System for optics. The fiber-optic shuttle system is fitted with eight light fibers in the QIAquant 96 instruments and 16 in the QIAquant 384 instruments. The system guarantees the homogeneous excitation of each sample and the reliable recording of the emitted fluorescent signals with high sensitivity and no cross-talk between wells.

The QIAquant instrument is an open system that can be used with compatible chemistries from any supplier and a wide variety of plasticware. It does not require using a reference dye such as ROX and does not need regular calibration.
