Biolin scientific Qsense Explorer

Biolin scientific QSense Explorer by Biolin Scientific is a versatile and modular QCM-D instrument that provides superior data quality and flexibility for surface process research. It allows you to run experiments under special conditions, combine them with other techniques, and measure various samples and fluids.

Biolin scientific QSense Explorer is the most versatile and modular QCM-D instrument by Biolin Scientific that offers superior data quality and flexibility for surface process research. This instrument allows researchers to maximize the available experimental context by combining QCM-D with other techniques, such as microscopy, electrochemistry, and ellipsometry on the same sample. The modularity of QSense Explorer allows for plenty of experimental possibilities, and researchers can change between different experimental setups if required.

Biolin scientific QSense Explorer is most suitable for researchers who want to study under various conditions, such as extreme temperatures, variable gas phase pressures, and harsh solvents. The instrument is compatible with temperatures up to 150°C and can withstand harsh solvents. QSense Explorer has a measurement range and capacity of one channel, a working temperature of 15 to 65°C, and sensors with a frequency range of 5 MHz. The instrument also has seven measured harmonics, allowing for complete viscoelastic modeling.

The Biolin scientific QSense Explorer provides researchers with an optimal real-life performance by offering five Speed-to-Noise modes, allowing them to select the right setting to maximize real-life performance for their measurement. With QSense Explorer, researchers can measure the thickness (or mass), viscosity, shear modulus, and frequency dependence of viscosity and shear modulus, kinetics, slope, rise time, and more.

The Biolin scientific QSense Explorer features a single measurement channel, a working temperature range of 15 to 65°C (4 to 150°C using the QSense High-Temperature chamber), and sensors with a frequency range of 1-72 MHz.

Minimum sample volumes of 40 μl in stagnant mode and 200 μl in flow mode are possible, with flow rates between 25-150 μl/min. The QSense Explorer has a maximum time resolution of 300 data points per second and is sensitive enough to detect frequency, dissipation, thickness, viscosity, and shear modulus changes.

The Biolin scientific QSense Explorer is compatible with Windows 10 or later operating systems, and the QSoft Acquisition software is included. The electronics unit measures 18 cm in height, 36 cm in width, and 21 cm in depth, weighing 9 kg. The measurement chamber measures 5 cm in height, 10 cm in width, and 15 cm in depth, weighing 1 kg.
